Otto International

Our office for Otto International is at No. 31/a-13, right opposite the Takhat Wali Masjid on Mohd Ali Road in Nai Basti. It’s a landmark everyone around here knows, so it makes it easy to give directions to people. The street is always full of people and the sound of the prayers is a regular part of our daily routine. We work on international orders, mostly coordinating things between different places across the sea. It’s a lot of emails and phone calls. The room we work in is small and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it's where we get our things done. We have a couple of old desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. It isn't a flashy setup by any means. We focus on getting the details right for the shipments. My cousin helps me with the accounts and we have one person who handles the local errands like going to the bank. It feels like a neighborhood business even though we deal with stuff going far away. Sometimes the traffic on Mohd Ali Road makes it very hard for deliveries to get through on time, so we have to plan around the busiest hours. We like being part of this community. You can always find someone to talk to just outside the door. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just do our work and go home to our families.
