Ahmed Collections

Ahmed Collections is located on Lal Masjid Road. This is a very lively street and there is always something happening right outside our front door throughout the day. Since the shop isn't very big, we have to use every inch of the wall space to hang up the clothes we have in stock. A lot of our time goes into sorting through new arrivals and making sure the price tags are put on properly. The floor has some worn-down patches from all the people walking in and out over the years. In the back corner, there is a small desk where we handle the daily paperwork and keep our ledger books. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we keep a couple of torches under the counter just in case. We are just a regular local shop and most people find us because they live nearby or walk past here on their way to the mosque. We don't really bother with big advertisements or anything like that. The clothes are mostly simple things for everyday use that the families around here need. Things tend to get a bit messy on the counters when we are busy, but we try to tidy up before we close for the night. It is a lot of standing around and talking to the neighbors about what they are looking for. We just keep the doors open and do our work.
