Kahkash Hasmi

I am Kahkash Hasmi and my place is located on Idgah Road in Moradabad. This is a very old part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow and winding. There is a lot of history on this road, and you can see it in the way the buildings are clustered together. I’ve been practicing here for a while now, right in the middle of all the daily hustle. The clinic is just a small room that faces the street. You can hear the sounds of children playing and neighbors talking right outside the door. It’s a very lived-in neighborhood. We don’t have any big advertisements or flashy lights. There is just a small board with my name on it. Inside, it’s quite simple. I have a table and a few chairs for whoever comes in. Most of my visitors are people who live within walking distance. They come by when they have a cold or a fever. Because it’s Moradabad, it can get very crowded, especially on holidays or when there are gatherings at the Idgah. The pace of life here is fast, but inside the clinic, we try to take our time with everyone. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people show up at once, but we make it work. I’ve gotten to know many families on this road over the years. It’s just a normal neighborhood clinic where we do our best with what we have.
