Gys Handicrafts

Gys Handicrafts is located in the Parsvnath Plaza, specifically at Plot No. Ff-102. It’s near Kanth Road, which is easy enough to find if you are in the neighborhood. Our shop isn't huge, but we pack it full of the things we make. There is always a bit of a mess from the materials we use, like wood shavings or bits of thread, but that’s just part of the process. We spend our days sitting at the back working on new pieces. Sometimes the lights in the plaza flicker, but we just keep going. People walking through the mall often peak in because they hear us working or see the stuff sitting out. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just focusing on the details of each item. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that, just a small space where we do what we know how to do. The Kanth Road area stays pretty busy, so we get a lot of different people coming through the doors. Some just want to look and others have a specific idea of what they want us to make. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a piece takes a week, it takes a week. We don't rush it because that’s when mistakes happen. It’s just us here, making things by hand in our little corner of the plaza, trying to keep the traditions alive.
