Gupta Ji Roti Wale

Most people around Lajpat Nagar in Moradabad know where we are. We are Gupta Ji Roti Wale, located right in the MDA area off Delhi Road. It is not a big fancy establishment, just a place focused on making rotis. We spend most of our day by the heat of the tandoor or the stove. It gets hot, especially during the summer months in Moradabad, but the work has to be done. We are in the 244001 zip code area, which is a busy part of town with a lot of people moving around. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the dough is ready and the rotis are cooked right. It is a basic business, really. We don't spend money on ads or bright signs. People find us because they smell the bread or see the crowd. Delhi Road is always loud with trucks and cars, but we just stay focused on the task at hand. We start early in the morning and go until we are done for the day. It’s honest labor. We like being part of the Lajpat Nagar community. You see the same faces every day, neighbors coming by for their daily bread. There's something nice about that, even if the work is tiring. We just keep the fire going and keep the rotis coming out for whoever needs them. It's just what we do here.
