Gandhi Garments

Gandhi Garments is located in Nowgawan Sadat, specifically in the Nai Basti area. We are tucked away in the lane known as Jama Masjid Wali Gali. It’s a local spot and very much part of the neighborhood. Being in District J.P. Nagar means we see a lot of local folks every day. The street is narrow, as you might expect near the masjid, but it’s always lively. We deal with garments mostly. Our setup isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s just racks and piles of clothes ready for whoever needs them. We don't do much in the way of advertising because word of mouth in Nai Basti is usually enough. People know where we are. We start our day when the sun comes up and keep going until the evening. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the lane muddy, but we just keep the doors open. It’s a family-run kind of thing, very informal. We don't have a big mission or anything like that. We just sell clothes to the people living around here. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. It feels right being part of the local community in this district. Nothing fancy, just a plain old clothing shop in a busy lane. We just try to keep the stock fresh so there is something for everyone who stops by.
