In Moradabad, we’re based in Village Dadupur, near Post-Beejna. It’s a rural setting, which is quite different from our other locations. The office is part of the local landscape here in Uttar Pradesh. Being at the 244001 pincode area means we’re responsible for a lot of the infrastructure projects happening in this district. The office itself is quite plain. We use a lot of local materials and the space is mostly filled with the tools and papers we need for engineering. It’s a bit dusty because of the nearby roads and fields, but we don't mind. We aren't here to look important; we’re here to work. The team is a mix of people from the village and some who come in from the main town. We have a very casual atmosphere. There’s no formal dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s practical for the sites. Much of our time is spent talking to the laborers and checking the progress of the builds. We have a lot of meetings, but they usually happen standing up or over a quick cup of chai. It’s a very hands-on way of doing engineering. We’ve been part of this community for a while, and people know they can find us here at the Dadupur office when there’s work to be done. It’s not a complicated setup, just a group of people trying to build things the right way. We focus on the concrete and the steel rather than the office decor. It is what it is.
