You can find Enkay Coffee Shop right inside the Gupta Kirana Store in Jwala Nagar. Anup Gupta is the one who keeps things running here in Rampur. It’s a bit of a mix, really, because people come in for their flour or lentils and end up staying for a bit of coffee. We’ve been set up here for a while now. The shop is usually full of the smell of spices from the grocery side and the coffee we make. It’s a family kind of place, nothing too fancy or modern. I spend most of my day chatting with the regulars who have been coming to this street for years. Sometimes we run out of certain items because the delivery truck got stuck somewhere in U.P., but customers understand how it is. We have a few small tables but most people just stand and talk. The fan overhead makes a lot of noise, but it helps with the heat. It’s a busy little corner of the neighborhood. My brother helps with the accounts when he isn't busy with his own work. We don't have a big menu, just the things people like. It’s just a simple life running a shop in a town like Rampur. We know everyone’s name and how they like their drink. The floor needs a good scrub every evening because of the dust from the road. We stay open until late at night. It’s a good life.
