Raj Type College is just here in Ropar, doing the same thing every day since we started. It’s not a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. Most days, you’ll hear the clatter of keys from the street before you even walk in the door. We have the old manual machines because some people still want to learn that way, and of course, the computers sit right next to them. The fans are always humming to keep the room cool while students practice their finger placements. Most of the people who come here are from nearby, just looking to get their typing speed up for a government job or maybe just to say they have the skill. We don’t have a big office or a reception desk with a phone that never stops ringing. It’s mostly just us and the students. Sometimes the tea man comes by around four, and everything stops for five minutes. We’ve seen Ropar change a lot over the years, but the way people sit and focus on the screen or the paper stays the same. The chairs aren't the newest, but they do the job. We keep the windows open when it’s not too dusty outside. It is a simple setup on a quiet street where people just come to work and learn. There’s no big sign or loud music, just the steady rhythm of typing that fills up the afternoon until we close the shutters for the evening.
