Pearls N Petals Designing Studio

Our studio is located in Flat No. 4896, over in Sector-68, Block-C. It’s a residential area, so it’s much quieter than being on a main commercial road with all the horns honking. We converted part of the flat into a workspace for our designing. It’s filled with scraps of fabric, different colored threads, and half-finished sketches pinned to the walls. We don’t have a big storefront window to show off our work to people walking by. People usually have to call us ahead of time or just know the specific address to find where we are. Working from a flat has its own set of challenges, like limited space for storage and trying not to bother the neighbors with the sound of the sewing machines late at night. We have a big wooden table in the middle of the room where most of the cutting happens. It’s often covered in paper patterns and measuring tapes. The light comes in really well through the balcony window in the afternoons, which helps when we are trying to match colors for a specific project. It’s a very personal sort of business for us. We aren't some big factory churning out thousands of identical items every day. It’s just us here, working on one piece at a time. Sometimes the kitchen table ends up being used for extra workspace when we have a lot of orders to finish. It’s our little corner in Sector-68.
