Our place, Bathroom Fittings Pvt. Ltd., is tucked away in Phase 7 of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. We are at E1153, which is quite close to the big Idea head office building. Most people use that as a landmark when they are trying to find us for the first time. The warehouse is usually full of boxes containing taps, showerheads, and all sorts of pipes. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush carpets or air conditioning in the back. It’s an industrial vibe with high metal racks and the sound of forklifts moving pallets around. I spend my days checking orders and making sure the right boxes get onto the right trucks. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three deliveries show up at the same time, and we have to scramble to make room. The street outside is usually lined with parked vehicles, so getting a big lorry in can be a real headache. We have a small office area near the front door where we keep the computer and the files, but I’m usually out on the floor. It’s a bit dusty, and the metal fittings can be heavy to lift all day. We’ve been in this part of SAS Nagar for a bit now and have seen the neighborhood change as more offices moved in. It’s a practical business, and we just keep our heads down and do the work without much fuss.
