Suraj Parkash & Sons

Suraj Parkash & Sons is tucked away over at the Focal Point on Firozpur Road. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of noise and heavy vehicles moving around outside. My father started this, and now we all help out. The building isn't brand new; it has seen plenty of work over the years. We spend our days dealing with various supplies and talking to people who come in from the nearby factories. It gets quite hot in the summers under the tin roof, but we’re used to it. We keep our logs in big books, sometimes the old-fashioned way because it’s just easier for us to track. Firozpur Road is always busy with traffic, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We don't do much advertising; people just know where we are in the Focal Point. There’s usually some tea being shared in the office while we talk about the day's tasks. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around. We try to keep everything organized, but with so many items, it’s a constant job. Working here means you get to know the other business owners nearby. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and we plan to stay. It’s just a regular family business doing what we know how to do best. No big frills, just steady work day in and day out at the Focal Point.
