Simro Simran Rice Mill

If you come down to Vpo Mehal in Moga, you’ll find our rice mill. We’ve been here in the Moga district for a long time now. The building is pretty simple, just a place to process the grain. We get the paddy from the local fields and run it through the machines. It’s dusty work, and the sound of the hullers is constant during the day. We aren't a big fancy operation. It’s mostly just a few of us making sure the rice is cleaned and sorted properly. Some days are slower than others, but during harvest time, it's non-stop. We see a lot of familiar faces coming through the gates. The local farmers bring their loads, and we have a chat while things get weighed. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a website or a big sales team. Most people know where we are just by word of mouth. The mill has been part of the landscape here for years. We keep the machines oiled and the floors as clean as you can expect for a place that handles grain. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy. We just try to do a solid job every day. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and keep the rice moving. If you’re in Mehal, you can’t really miss the place. We’ve been part of this community for ages and plan to stay here.
