G.R. Food & General Mills

You can find us on Moga Road, right where the traffic starts to pick up. We’ve been operating here for a while, and the place has a lot of character. By character, I mean the walls are a bit stained and the gate squeaks every time it opens. But that doesn’t stop us from getting through the work. G.R. Food & General Mills is a busy spot. We handle a lot of different loads throughout the week. The machinery is loud and it shakes the floor a bit when it's running at full speed. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just show up in the morning, check the equipment, and start processing. The guys working here are good people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We deal with the dust and the heat because that’s the job. Sometimes we have to wait for spare parts to come from the city, which can be frustrating. We just sit in the small office and drink tea until they arrive. It’s a very practical way of living. We aren’t trying to be the biggest or the most famous mill around. We just want to do our day's work and go home. The road outside is always noisy, but we’ve learned to tune it out over the years. It is a steady existence, and we are fine with that. No one here is looking for fame.
