Dk Handloom

Dk Handloom is located right on the GT Road in the Govind Puri area of Modi Nagar. We are at T- 144, which is easy to spot if you are driving through Ghaziabad. Our shop is full of traditional handloom items, things that have a bit of character to them. It’s not a modern showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have stacks of rugs, towels, and bedspreads piled up on wooden racks. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time cleaning and dusting. It’s a family business that started years ago, and we just kept it going. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People just know that if they need something sturdy for their home, they can stop by. The noise from the traffic on GT Road is constant, but we don't mind it much anymore. Sometimes a customer will come in and stay for half an hour just to chat before buying a single towel. We like that. It’s more personal than those big stores in the city. We keep track of our inventory in a simple notebook and try to stay honest with our prices. It’s a quiet life, mostly, just waiting for the next person to walk through the door and seeing what the weavers have sent us from the villages. We hope the next generation takes an interest in the shop too.
