Our business is situated right on National Highway 7, which means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day and night. We are located near the Dargah Sharif in the Taluka Chunar area, not too far from the road that leads toward Varanasi. It’s a very busy spot because of the highway, and there is always a lot of noise from the big trucks and buses. We deal in concrete and cement, mostly keeping a large stock for the contractors who are working on the roads or building new structures nearby. The yard stays busy with loading and unloading throughout the day. Working near the Dargah means we see a lot of people coming through for prayers too, which gives the area a bit of a special feeling despite all the dust and work. We have a small office where we handle the paperwork, but most of the time we are outside checking the stacks of cement. Chunar is known for its stone and building work, so it feels right to be doing this kind of business here. We don't have any corporate slogans; we just make sure we have enough bags in the shed to meet the demand. It’s hard work and the days are long, especially when the weather is humid, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the highway life over the years.
