Shovalley Developers & Promoters India Private Limited is based out of Mirzapur. Our office is at Prem Shankar’s place in Chittam Patti Pahari. It is a bit of a climb to get up here, but you get used to it after a while. We do construction work all around this area. It is not a fancy corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. We just have some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of maps and blueprints lying around. People from the neighborhood come in to talk about land or building houses. We spend a lot of our time out on the sites where the air is thick with dust and the sun is hot. It is hard work, really. Most days we are just trying to get the paperwork right with the local government offices. Sometimes the rain stops everything and we just have to wait it out. We have been around for a while now and we know the people in Chittam Patti Pahari well. It is quiet here except when the heavy trucks go by on the main road. We do not have a big sign or any loud advertisements. We are just doing what we do, which is building things. It takes a lot of time and you have to be patient with the bricks and the cement. My cousin helps out with the accounts sometimes. We usually have tea around four in the afternoon. That is when we sit and discuss the plan for tomorrow. It is a simple life.
