Friends Stones

If you look for us at Girdhar Ka Chauraha, you will find our stone yard right there. It is a busy spot in Mirzapur and there is always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks coming and going. We have been working with stones for a good while now. The yard is usually full of different blocks and pieces waiting to be moved. It gets very hot in the afternoons here so we mostly get the heavy lifting done early or late in the day. The post office is nearby in Mirzapur so getting mail is easy enough. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights. It is just the outdoor space and a small room where we sit and talk to people. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when the rain turns the ground to mud, but we keep at it. People come by asking about different types of stone and we just show them what we have on the lot. It is straightforward work. No one here wears a suit. We are usually covered in some bit of stone dust by the end of the shift. We just try to get the orders right and make sure the trucks are loaded properly before they head out. Most of our day is spent checking the inventory and talking to the drivers who stop by the crossroads. It is a lot of manual labor but it is what we know.
