Sagar Cements

Sagar Cements is based in Reddy Colony, specifically at 19-1-36/1. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve got our setup right there. Cement is a heavy business. We have bags stacked up and the floor is always covered in a thin layer of gray dust. That’s just part of the job. You can’t really avoid it when you’re moving that much product every day. The building isn't huge, but it holds what we need. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers who are trying to find the address. Reddy Colony has its own vibe, and we’ve become a part of the local scenery over time. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a minute. We don't have any fancy brochures or a high-tech office. It is just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of cement. The door stays open most of the day to let a bit of a breeze in, though it usually just brings in more dust. We work through the heat and the rain. When a big truck arrives, everything else stops so we can get it unloaded and the bags put away in the right piles. It is physical work and it makes you tired by the end of the shift. We aren’t looking to be the biggest, just to keep things moving smoothly at 19-1-36/1. It's a simple operation. We hope the weather stays clear so we can load the trucks faster today.
