Out here in Village Kukas, things are a bit slower than the city. We are located at Plot No. 186 on the Mehsana Vijapur Road. If you get to Shobhasan Char Rasta, you are almost at our gates. We work with laminates, so the warehouse is full of those big, thin sheets. They come in all sorts of colors and finishes. The smell of the resins and the wood base is something you just get used to. It is a big space because you need a lot of room to move those sheets without chipping the corners. Most of the people working here are from around the village or the nearby areas. We start early before it gets too hot. The road outside has been getting busier lately with more traffic coming from Mehsana. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stacks so we can find what a customer needs. It’s a lot of manual work, moving one sheet at a time. We don't have a fancy front office. Usually, if someone comes by, we just meet them in the warehouse area. Siesta Laminates Pvt. Ltd. is a straightforward operation. We make the sheets, we stack them, and we load them onto the trucks. There isn't much more to it. The wind blows across the fields nearby and sometimes brings a bit of dust into the loading bay when the doors are open.
