Avkar Packeing

We have two units, 303 and 304, over in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate. It’s a big area with lots of factories, and we fit right in with the rest of them. We spend our days making boxes and wrapping things up for shipping. It’s a lot of manual labor and working with machines that can be a bit temperamental or loud sometimes. The warehouse is big and can get quite cold in the winter and very hot in the summer months. We’ve got a small crew of workers who have been with us since we first opened the doors. We make sure everything is packed tight so it doesn't break during the long truck rides. It’s not a clean job, there’s always cardboard dust in the air and bits of tape stuck to our clothes. I started this because I saw how much stuff was being made in this estate and knew they’d need packing eventually. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure items are protected and ready to go. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order for one of the neighbors in the next block. We have a lot of trucks coming in and out to pick up the heavy pallets. It’s a noisy, busy place but we like the steady pace. Most of our day is spent making sure the dimensions are right and the tape holds. It’s hard work, but we like being here.
