Sajiya Handicrafts

Sajiya Handicrafts is based out of House No-687 in Mundali. We are in Ward No-13, which is a fairly busy residential area. You can find us pretty easily if you look for the Khare Wali Masjid nearby. The sound of the call to prayer is how we keep track of our day. We started this business in a small room and slowly took over more of the house as we got more work. It’s not a factory. It’s just a place where a few local people come to work every morning. We sit on mats on the floor and work on the handicrafts. Sometimes we talk about the news or the weather while we work. The house gets a bit messy with all the scraps and threads, but we clean it up every Saturday. We don't have any big goals of becoming famous. We just want to make enough to keep the lights on and help out our families. Sometimes the rainy season makes the walls damp and we have to move our stock around to keep it dry. It’s just the usual struggles of running a small place in Mundali. We don't do any advertising. If you need something, you just walk in and ask. We usually have some tea ready for anyone who drops by for a chat while we work on the orders.
