Saini General & Confectionary

We have our shop in the Suraj Kund area of Meerut, right near K.P Jewellers. It’s a spot that most people in this part of town know well. We call it Saini General & Confectionary because we sell both daily household items and some sweets and snacks. It is a small place, and we’ve been here at number 221 for quite a while. The street is usually full of people shopping for jewelry or other things, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We aren't a big chain or a fancy boutique. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the glass jars on the counter are always being opened and closed. We keep things like biscuits, candies, and the usual grocery items that people run out of. My brother and I usually take turns at the counter. Meerut can be a busy place, and Suraj Kund is one of those neighborhoods where everyone seems to be in a hurry. We try to be quick with the change and the bagging. Sometimes we have a little chat with the older folks who have been coming here since we first opened. We don't have a website or do any social media stuff. People just know we are here. If someone needs something we don't have, we try to get it for them the next time the distributor comes by. It’s just a regular shop doing regular business every day.
