If you walk down P. L. Sharma Road in Meerut, you’ll find us near the Hanuman Mandir. Naveen Commercial College has been at this address, No. 1423/6, for quite a while now. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people visiting the temple throughout the day. Our building isn't very new, and the stairs are a bit worn down from all the students walking up and down over the years. We focus on teaching things like typing, shorthand, and basic computer skills to those who need them. You can usually hear the sound of keys clicking if you stand near the door. It’s a practical place for people who want to get a job in an office or a government department. We don't have fancy air conditioning in every room, just the usual ceiling fans that hum all day long. The desks are wooden and sturdy. We keep our own schedules and don't really bother with big advertisements in the paper. Most of the people who come here are from the local Meerut neighborhoods. They want to learn a skill and move on with their lives. We have an old sign out front that’s faded a bit from the sun. The office is usually piled with papers and forms that need filling. It’s just a straightforward, old-fashioned school where people come to work on their future. We don't make big promises, we just provide the machines.
