You can find Mohan College of Teacher Education right on the NH-58 campus in Meerut Cantt. It’s a busy area because of the highway, so there is always something going on outside our doors. We’ve been training people to become teachers for a while now. The building is okay, it has been standing there for years and has a bit of character. We have classrooms where we talk about how to manage a group of kids and how to explain things simply. It’s practical stuff. We don't use a lot of fancy technology; we mostly stick to books and talking. The canteen is small but the tea is usually hot. Meerut Cantt is a pretty disciplined area, so we try to keep things orderly inside the college too. We have a lot of students coming from all over Meerut and the nearby towns. The walk from the main gate can be a bit long if you're carrying a lot of books. We don't have a lot of glossy brochures. If you want to know about us, you just come by and talk to the people in the front office. They’ll tell you what you need to know without any fluff. It’s just a place where people learn how to teach. It gets a bit loud with the highway traffic, but you get used to it after a week or two. That’s just life here. We’re just a regular part of the Meerut landscape on the highway.
