Down at B-53 in the Major Dhyanchand Nagar Industrial Area, things move at their own pace. We are situated on Delhi Road, which is always humming with trucks and transit. Our place, Lux And Lumen Solutions, is where we handle all the lighting equipment and parts. It’s a practical space. We’ve got high ceilings to store the taller fixtures and plenty of floor space for testing out the setups. It gets quite bright in here when we’re working on a big order. Most of the guys here have been working with lights for years, so they know the sounds a failing ballast makes. We aren't some high-end boutique. It’s an industrial unit through and through. The floor is concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure they get loaded onto the trucks without breaking. Sometimes the traffic on Delhi Road makes it a headache to get out of the driveway, but we’ve learned to time it right. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the latest tech while we work. It’s a good group of people here. We don't make big promises; we just do the work as it comes in. Dhyanchand Nagar is a tough area but it’s where the business belongs. We just try to keep things moving along steadily every single day.
