G. K. Sports

Our shop, G. K. Sports, is located at number 703 in Kushal Nagar on Lissari Road. People usually find us by looking for Bhumiya Pool or the DIG Kothi nearby. We are tucked away in a spot that sees a lot of local traffic. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with cricket bats, footballs, and all sorts of gear. We have nets hanging from the ceiling and boxes of shoes piled up in the corners. It’s a bit cramped, but we know exactly where everything is. Kids from the neighborhood are always coming in to check out the new balls or to get their bats repaired. We spend a lot of time re-stringing rackets or fixing grips. It’s a hands-on kind of place. The road outside can get muddy when it rains, so we are always sweeping the floor to keep the mud off the equipment. Sometimes we just sit on the front step and watch the people going by the pool. It’s a friendly area. We don't have any big displays, just the stuff people actually use for playing. We’ve been here long enough that we’ve seen the local kids grow up and start bringing their own children in for their first pair of pads. It’s a simple business but it keeps us connected to the community here in Kushal Nagar. We just keep the doors open and the gear ready for whoever walks in. It isn't much, but it’s ours.
