Anhal Travels is nearby, which is usually how I tell people to find us. It’s a pretty standard setup for a coaching center. I have to go up the stairs every morning to unlock the heavy metal door. The room is long and narrow, but we fit two rows of desks inside. I usually keep the windows shut because the noise from the main road can be quite a lot during rush hour. I’ve been teaching here in Meerut for a while and moved into this Modipuram spot recently. I do all the cleaning myself, so the place stays okay. There’s a small area at the back where I keep my bags and a tea kettle. Most days are spent just going through the syllabus page by page. I use a whiteboard that’s getting a bit stained, but it still works fine. The students are mostly local kids who come after their regular school is over. We don't have a lot of rules, just that they need to show up on time. It is a very straightforward, no-frills kind of place. I like the independence of running my own shop. Even when it’s raining hard and the roof leaks a tiny bit near the corner, we just move the chairs and keep going.
