Hotel Trident, Udaipur

Our place is over at 544/5 Shiv Shiv Shakti Nagar, right near the Mittal Handloom Factory in Meerut. Don't mind the name on the door, this is where we're based. It's a regular building in a busy neighborhood. We spend most of our time dealing with the day-to-day things that come with running a business in this area. It’s not a fancy hotel like you might see in the travel magazines. It’s more of a functional space for us. We’ve got some staff who have been with us for a long time and they know how everything works. The street outside is usually full of people and noise from the handloom factory next door. We keep our doors open most of the day to let some air in. There’s no big reception desk or anything like that here. We just have a few rooms and a small office area where we do our bookkeeping. Sometimes the water pressure acts up, or the internet goes down for a few hours, but we just deal with it. It’s just how things go in this part of U.P. We don't spend any money on marketing or fancy brochures. If people find us, they find us through word of mouth. We're just regular people working here every day. We focus on the practical side of things. Most of us live nearby, so it’s a short walk to work in the mornings. We just try to keep things tidy.
