My grandfather started this business a long time ago. We are over here on Garh Road near Shiv Shakti Vihar in Meerut. People come by mostly because they know our family. It is not a fancy place at all. Just a small shop where we keep the old ways of doing things alive. Sometimes it gets quite dusty because of the constant traffic outside on the main road. We see a lot of regular faces. They stop in for a quick chat or because they need something specific that only we keep in stock. It is a quiet life most days, though the mornings can get pretty busy. I usually open up very early before the summer heat gets too bad for everyone. The address says Shiv Shakti Vihar, but everyone around here really knows where the Garh Road turn is. It is just past the Takshila Colony area if you are coming from town. We don't really do any ads or things like that. Just simple word of mouth keeps the doors open for us. If you are walking down Garh Road, you will eventually see the old sign. It has been there for years and the paint is a bit faded now. Inside the shop, it always smells like dry herbs and old wood. My brother helps out sometimes when things get a bit hectic for me. We just try to stay honest and help the people who walk through the door. It is a simple way of living.
