Our place Banwari Lal Laxmi Narain is situated at Plot No. 207/1 in Khair Nagar. We are right in Meerut and most people know us because we are opposite the old Filmistan Cinema. That landmark makes it easy for folks to find our shop in the middle of all the market chaos. It’s a traditional setup and we’ve been here long enough that the building itself feels like an old friend. We sell various things and the shelves are usually packed to the ceiling. It can be a bit hard to navigate the aisles if we have a big shipment come in but we manage. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything. A lot of it is still done with pen and paper because it works for us. The street outside is always loud with horns and people shouting but inside we just focus on the customers. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to keep the business going like the generations before us did. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when it's slow and just watch the traffic go by. It’s a simple life and we are happy to be part of the Meerut community. We know our regulars by name and they know they can just stop by for a chat or to pick up what they need.
