Bansal General Store

Bansal General Store is situated over in the Saket area of Meerut, right by Victoria Park. We are also quite close to St. Lukes Hospital, so we get people coming in who are visiting patients or working at the hospital. It is a pretty steady place to have a shop. We keep a variety of items that people might need in a hurry. The park nearby brings in some families on the weekends too. We have been here for years, and the shop has seen many changes in the road outside. Meerut can be a busy town, and Saket is a place where there is always something happening. Our store isn't anything special to look at, just a regular front with shelves packed up to the ceiling. We do our best to remember what our regulars like. Sometimes we run out of things because the delivery truck got stuck in traffic, but we just tell people to come back the next day. It is a very local way of doing things. We don't have any employees, mostly just family members taking turns to sit at the register. We listen to the radio while we work and watch the people pass by on the sidewalk. It is a practical life, and we are happy to be part of this neighborhood for as long as we have. We keep the shop open through the heat and the cold because people always need something.
