Ashoka General

Ashoka General is tucked away in Kaseru Khera, specifically in 11 Mohlaa. If you are looking for it, just head toward Mana School because we are right near there. Being close to a school means we see a lot of students and parents throughout the day. I have lived in Meerut my whole life and this shop has been my main work for quite some time now. The street outside can get a bit crowded when classes let out. We keep a lot of stationery and notebooks because of the school, but mostly it is a general store for the families living around here. You can find things like toothpaste, light bulbs, and packaged snacks on the shelves. The shop has a high ceiling which helps with the heat in the summer months. I try to keep the prices fair since I know everyone in the Mohalla personally. Sometimes I have to chase the kids away when they get too loud near the entrance. I keep a ledger for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It is how things have always been done in this part of town. Every day is pretty much the same and I like it that way.
