Agriculture Engineering Works

We are over at 273, Khair Nagar. This is Agriculture Engineering Works. We’ve been in this spot for years now. The shop is where we spend most of our time, usually fixing tools or welding parts for tractors and plows. Khair Nagar is a place where people know the value of hard work. We have a lot of heavy iron lying around and the smell of hot metal is always in the air. We don’t have a clean office for meetings. If you want to talk, you just come to the workbench. Our hands are usually dirty, so we don't shake hands much. We just nod and get to it. People bring in things that are rusted through or snapped in half, and we see what we can do. Some things can’t be fixed, but we try anyway. The building is simple, just some brick and a tin roof that rattles when it rains. We don’t bother with fancy displays. The machines we use are old but they still work fine. It’s a practical life here. We start when the light comes up and we head home when we can’t see the welds anymore. It’s just us at 273, making sure the local equipment keeps running so the work in the fields doesn't stop for too long. We don't have any big plans, just doing this.
