Uppari Nagamma

I am Uppari Nagamma and my place is Hno 2-85 in Athimyal village. We get our mail through the Yelgoi post office in the Manoor mandal. This is out in the district, quite far from the big towns. I’ve put my cell number 8790263076 on things because that is the easiest way for anyone to reach me since the village can be hard to find if you don't know the way. I work here at home and it is a very simple way of living. We don't have the big offices or the fast computers like they do in the city. Mostly, I deal with things that people in the village need help with. It’s a small community, so everyone knows my house and they know they can come by if they need something. The life here is slow and depends on the seasons. Sometimes there is a lot of work, and other times we are just waiting. I don't use any fancy language to describe what I do. It’s just work. I wake up, take care of my chores, and then see who needs help. My family has been in this area for a long time, so we are rooted here. It’s a practical life, and I try to do my best with what I have. If you call my cell, I usually pick up unless I’m out in the fields or busy with someone. It can be hard work but it is what I know how to do.
