Verimal Medical College

The college is located out in Annamalai Nagar in Madurai, which is a place that everyone knows for being quite warm. Our campus is spread out, and you see people walking back and forth between the different buildings all day long. It is a medical college, so there is always a sense of people being busy or in a hurry to get to a lab or a lecture. The address is 608002, and it sits in a part of town that has grown a lot recently. Inside, the hallways are long and have that specific smell of a medical facility. We have various departments, and each one has its own little corner with desks and equipment that has been there for years. The canteen is usually the loudest place on the grounds, especially around lunchtime when everyone takes a break. We don't have much in the way of decoration on the walls, just the usual notices and schedules pinned up for students to read. It's a very functional environment. Sometimes the water coolers stop working, and we have to wait a day or two for the repairman to show up. Most of the staff have been working here for a long time, so we all know how things run. It’s a bit of a trek to get here from the main city center, but the buses run fairly often. It’s just a place where students come to study medicine and then go home.
