Kembu Digital Lab

You’ll find Kembu Digital Lab at number 24 on Gandhiji Road in Mayildaduthurai. We have been at this location for a long time, back when everything was done with film and darkrooms. Now, of course, everything has gone digital, so we have computers and printers where the old chemicals used to be. The shop isn't very large, and it can feel a bit crowded when more than two or three people come in at once. We do a lot of passport photos and simple prints for the folks who live around Gandhiji Road. It’s a busy street, so there is always someone popping in for a quick job. We don’t have any polished corporate training or anything like that. We just learned how to use the equipment by doing it every day for years. Sometimes the printer jams or the software acts a bit slow, but we always figure it out. We aren't trying to be the biggest lab in the state; we just want to keep the shop running and help the locals get their photos done without any trouble. Most of our customers are our neighbors, and we spend a fair bit of time just chatting about what’s going on in Mayildaduthurai. It’s a local business in every sense of the word. We keep our prices fair and our work honest, and that seems to be enough for the people who visit us.
