Afridi Brothers

Afridi Brothers is a small business based in Samthar, which is part of the Jhansi district. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. If you ever visit Samthar, you’ll find that it’s a place where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. Our shop or office, whatever you want to call it, is right there on the street. It’s usually filled with boxes, tools, or whatever stock we happen to be moving that week. There isn't much of a front office; it's mostly just us working at a big desk or moving things around in the back. The walls are a bit dusty from the dry Jhansi air, and we usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background. Customers come in and out, often staying for a chat about the weather or the local news before they get down to business. We don't have a website or any of those fancy marketing things. People just know where we are and what we do. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter, so we usually have a small heater going. It’s a family-style operation, so things aren't always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. It’s just hard work and long days, especially when we have a big shipment to deal with. We just keep at it and make sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us.
