Kd Shikshan Prashikshan Seva Sansthan

We are over in Mustafabad, which is part of the Mau district. The place is actually at Shyam Narayan Prajapati’s house, number 25. It is a small educational and training institute that we started to help out the local community. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just a small board so people know they are in the right place. Most of our work involves teaching basic subjects or giving some vocational training to whoever shows up. Mustafabad is a place where everyone knows everyone else, so we don't really need to do much to let people know we are here. The rooms we use are quite simple, with just the basic furniture we could find. During the summer, it gets quite hot, so we usually have the windows open to catch any breeze. We spend a lot of time talking to parents about their children’s education and trying to find ways to keep the kids interested in learning. It is not a high-tech setup at all. We use books and notebooks and whatever else we can get our hands on. Shyam Narayan is usually around to handle the administrative side of things while a couple of us focus on the teaching. We just want to provide a space where people can learn something useful without having to travel too far from home. It’s a modest operation, but it keeps us busy and feels right for the neighborhood. It is just a small local effort.
