This institute is run from the Nasirabad Kala area in Mau. Dhananjay Singh is the one who handles most of the things here. We are basically a training center for skills and learning how to start small businesses. The building is located in Maunathbhanjan, which is a busy part of town. We have a few rooms where we hold classes and workshops. It’s nothing too special to look at, just a practical space with some benches and a blackboard. We started this because there aren't many places around here where you can learn these kinds of things. Most of our students are young people from the surrounding villages who want to do something on their own. We spend our days teaching them basics and trying to help them figure out their next steps. The air in Mau can be quite dusty, and our office often reflects that, no matter how much we sweep. We aren't professional teachers by trade, just people who have some experience and want to share it. The classes are informal and we encourage everyone to ask questions. Sometimes we have guests come in to talk about their own small shops or businesses. It is a slow process, but we see people making progress bit by bit. The location is right in the middle of the local activity, so it is easy for everyone to reach. We just keep our doors open and do the work that comes our way without any big fuss.
