Shaheen Marbles & Greatine

Our place, Shaheen Marbles & Greatine, is located in Dicarpale, which is part of Navelim in the Salcete area. We’re situated quite close to the Sanvordem Road. It’s a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main city centers, but we still get plenty of work done. We deal mostly with marble and granite, which means our hands are usually dirty and our clothes have stone dust on them by the end of the day. The yard in Dicarpale is where we keep all the heavy stock. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of stone slabs standing on racks. We spend our time measuring pieces, cutting them to size sometimes, and helping people pick out what they want for their homes. The road nearby isn't too loud, but you get the occasional truck going past. Working in Salcete is nice because the pace is a bit more relaxed, though the work itself is still hard. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know how to handle the stone without breaking it. People usually find us because they live in Navelim or are driving through to Sanvordem. We just focus on getting the stone ready and making sure it gets to where it needs to go. It’s a practical business, run by people who aren't afraid of a bit of hard work in the sun. We’ve been at this for a while now and don't plan on changing much about how we operate. We just stay here and work every day until the job is finished.
