Gurukul Academy

Gurukul Academy is located in Sainagar, Durgabhat, which is over in Ponda, Goa. Our pin code is 403401. The school sits in a regular neighborhood where people are going about their daily business. We aren't a big, fancy institution with a lot of polished marble; it’s more of a practical building where kids come to sit at their desks and learn. Being in Goa, the surroundings are nice, but the school itself is very down-to-earth. We have a few rooms for each grade and a small area where the students gather. Every morning, you can hear the hum of the fans during the humid days and the chatter of kids during their breaks. Most of the staff here are just local people who have been working in education for some time. We don't use any big marketing talk to describe ourselves because we are just the academy in Durgabhat where families send their children. To everyone in Sainagar, the walk to the school is familiar. When the rain gets heavy, we have to manage with the puddles outside, but that’s just part of life here. Books are kept organized and the classrooms are made ready for the next day. It is a simple, honest place where the focus is on the daily lessons and nothing else. We are just a part of the Ponda community, providing a spot for the kids to study and grow up.
