Sambha

Sambha is located in the village area of Mdl Peddapalli. Life here moves a bit slower than it does in the big cities. Our building is simple and fits right in with the rest of the village. Most mornings start with the sound of birds and the local people heading out to the fields. We open up early because that is when it is coolest. Inside, things are kept very basic. We don't have fancy decorations or glass walls. It’s just a functional space where we handle our daily business. The floor is concrete and we have a few wooden desks and chairs that have been around for years. Since we are in Peddapalli, everyone knows everyone else. People stop by not just for business but to share some news or ask about the family. The sun shines very bright here, so we spend a lot of time in the shade of the porch when we aren't busy inside. We don't use much technology besides what is absolutely necessary. Most of our records are kept in big paper ledgers that we fill out by hand. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy, but that’s just how it is in the village. We like the quiet here and the way the air smells after a storm. It’s a modest operation, run by people who have lived in this area for a long time and understand how things work in a rural place like this.
