Amma Ngo

Amma Ngo is situated at 2-15/7, right near the main bus depot. Being so close to the depot means there is a constant sound of horns and engines, but it makes us very easy to find for anyone coming from out of town. The building is a simple structure, and we use a few rooms to run our programs. It isn't a polished office with leather chairs. Most of our furniture is a bit mismatched and has been around for years. We are just a group of local people who decided to do something helpful for the community. There are always boxes of clothes or food supplies sitting in the hallway waiting to be moved. It gets quite hectic when we have a lot of people dropping by at once. We don't have a big marketing budget or a professional photographer to take pictures of what we do. We just do the work and record it in our ledgers. The fans in the main room squeak a bit, and the walls are covered in old posters and schedules. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the people living around the depot know us by name. It’s a humble setup, but we don't need much to keep things going. We just take things day by day. It’s more about the people we talk to than the building we sit in. We just try to stay useful.
