Space Edge Architects

Our office, Space Edge Architects, is situated at 2/64 Plama Centre in the Alape area of Mangalore. We are quite near Sahyadri College in Padil. It’s an interesting part of town because of all the students and the activity near the college. The Plama Centre is a sturdy building and we have been here for a while now. Inside our office, things are pretty basic. We have our drawing boards, some computers for the heavy lifting, and a lot of reference books that have gathered a bit of dust. It isn't a place for showing off. It's a place for working. We usually get in around nine and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes that means late nights when a deadline is coming up. The team is just a handful of us who like building things and figuring out how spaces work. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just look at a site and try to make sense of it. The traffic on the road outside can be a bit much during peak hours, but once you step inside, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and people talking over plans. We have a small area for guests, though it’s often covered in blueprints. It’s a real working office with all the mess and movement that comes with it. We don't have a PR team or anyone to make us look more important than we are. We're just here in Padil doing our bit.
