Flash Bricks

The yard is right on the Main Road in Ks Rao Nagar, which is over in Karnad Mulky. It’s a wide-open space because you need a lot of room to dry bricks. It’s a dusty and dirty business, there is no way around that. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in red dust or mud depending on the weather. We make bricks for all sorts of building projects around here. It is hard work. We spend a lot of time moving heavy loads and checking on the kilns. The fire has to be just right, and that takes a lot of watching. We don't have a fancy office. Our headquarters is basically a small shack with a table and a few chairs where we handle the paperwork. We aren't much for talking, we just get on with the labor. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons, so we start early in the morning. We've been in Mulky for a long time. Everyone knows where the brickyard is. We don't do any advertising. People just see the stacks of bricks from the road and pull in. It’s a straightforward business. We make the bricks, people buy them, and we make some more. There isn't any complicated philosophy behind it. It’s just how we provide for ourselves. Sometimes the rain stops work for a bit.
