Swadesh Bar & Restaurant

Swadesh Bar & Restaurant is situated in the Megha Building over in Balmatta. It’s been a local spot for quite some time now. We aren't a fancy five-star place with white tablecloths. We just have simple tables and chairs where people can sit down and relax. The kitchen is always busy, and you can smell the spices from the street sometimes. We serve a mix of regular food and drinks that people in the area like. Balmatta can get quite lively in the evenings, so that’s when we are busiest. Our staff has been here for a while, and they know many of the regulars who come in after work. We don't have a big menu with fancy names, just the usual dishes that everyone knows. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, but most people don't seem to mind. It’s a place to grab a quick bite or stay for a drink with friends. We try to keep the place clean, but it’s an old building, so it has its quirks. The floor might creak a bit, and the lighting is a little dim in the corners. We don't spend money on big advertisements. People just know where we are. We open in the afternoon and stay open until the last customers are ready to leave. It’s just a neighborhood bar where everyone is welcome to sit. It gets a bit hot in there when it is full.
