Sparkle

Sparkle is based out of Jul Jil Villa on Kotekani Road in the Chillimbi area of Mangalore. We are situated near Ashok Nagar, so it’s a fairly easy location to reach for most people in the city. The place is more of a home-grown setup than a formal office, which suits us just fine. We started doing events and decorations because we liked the work, and it just grew from there. Dealing with the coastal humidity in Mangalore is always a challenge for our equipment, but we’ve learned how to manage it over time. We keep our supplies in the villa and coordinate everything from the small desk in the front room. Most days involve talking to vendors and checking on the flowers or lighting for the next event. It’s not always glamorous work; there’s a lot of lugging stuff around and making sure nothing gets broken in transit. People in Chillimbi know us as the local team that helps out with birthdays and small parties. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us doing our best with every project that comes our way. The neighbors are used to seeing our van parked out front when we’re loading up for a weekend job. We try to be helpful and straightforward with everyone who walks through the door. It’s a busy life, especially during the festival months, but we enjoy being part of the local community here.
