Patma Live

Patma Live is based over in the Kavoor area of Mangalore, specifically within the Khb Colony. Being in a coastal city like Mangalore means it gets very humid, and we definitely feel that in our workspace at No.68. This is where we store all our cameras, cables, and other gear. Because we do live setups, there is almost always a bit of a mess with wires being coiled or bags being packed for the next job. It might look disorganized to a visitor, but we have a system for where everything goes. Kavoor is a bit more relaxed than the city center, which makes it easier for us when we need to load up the van. It is just a few of us working here, and we started this because we liked the technical side of live events. We spend a lot of time checking signals and making sure the audio sounds right. When the heavy Mangalore rains start, we often have to stay inside and work on maintaining the equipment instead of going out. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you drop by, you will likely find one of us testing a tripod or sitting at a desk with headphones on. We drink plenty of tea to keep our energy up during the long hours. It is a practical business without much fuss. The colony is a good, steady place to work.
