The Leela Palace

We are based at House No 52 in Camp No 1st. This is in Mysore, Karnataka 571104. It is a humble house where we take care of all the business tasks. Because of the name, some people expect a huge palace building, but this is where the actual daily work happens. We manage the bookings and the staff from this location. The house is an older one, which is nice because the thick walls keep it cool when the sun is out. We have a small porch where we sit for a few minutes when things get quiet. Mysore is a pleasant city and our neighborhood is usually very calm. We still use some big paper registers to write things down because it feels more reliable sometimes. Our office is just a couple of rooms with some basic furniture. There are only a few of us here, and most of us have been working together for a long time. We know the address and the local area very well. We spend the day talking to guests and trying to solve whatever small problems come up. The desks are a bit scratched and the chairs are worn, but it is a comfortable place to be. We don't have a corporate feel at all. It is more like a family setting where we just get the job done. We open up in the morning and stay until everything is finished for the day.
